Sunday School | Pre-K - 7th
At Shalom School, we offer a vibrant education that blends Hebrew language instruction with a diverse Judaic studies curriculum. Hebrew is taught from pre-K through seventh grade, focusing on liturgy and synagogue skills.

Our Judaic studies program for grades K-6 includes Bible, Israel, prayer, holidays, contemporary issues, morale values, and life cycle events. Music and art are integrated throughout all grades, enriching the learning experience.

We believe that learning is most effective when students take charge of their education. That’s why we utilize a hands on approach, allowing students to explore and apply their knowledge in engaging, real-world contexts.

Through interactive lessons, discussions, and reflective activities, students gain a profound understanding of the events that shaped this dark chapter and the enduring lessons it holds for humanity.
The classroom learning culminates in an impactful weekend-long trip to the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. This journey not only deepens their knowledge but also fosters empathy as they reflect on their experiences in a supportive environment.
Students in this program meet every other week, allowing them to join the madrich program when not in class themselves.

This exciting opportunity allows students in grades 8-12 to serve as teaching assistants in Shalom School classes. Participants will receive training and gradually take on an active role as educators, fostering their leadership skills and confidence in the classroom.
This unique experience not only enhances college applications but also equips students with valuable skills that can help them secure teaching positions in Hebrew Sunday schools during their college years.
Additionally, students can earn community service hours or choose to receive compensation for their contributions after their first year. Join us in shaping the next generation of educators!
